Karen Kim places first at the ABC Supply Invitational to become the program's first individual winner, as Southeastern finishes second as a team. The Savage Storm shot 58-over 626 over two rounds, recording a 31-over 315 in round one and a 27-over 311 in the second.
Northwestern Oklahoma State just edged out the blue and gold for first-place with a score of 55-over 623. Oklahoma Baptist placed third with a 68-over 636, while Southern Nazarene and East Central matched each other with an 87-over 655.
Karen Kim led the 26-player field over the two rounds after firing in a 3-over 145 across the 36-holes of play. On her way to the program's first individual championship, Kim turned in a 1-over 72 in round one with three birdies and followed with a 2-over 73 in round two, adding three more birdies.
Carley Button joined Kim in the top five, placing fourth with a 12-over 154 to claim fourth place on the player leaderboard. Button got the day going with a 5-over 78 and later shot 7-over 78 and would combine for a trio of birdies over the two rounds of play.
Kaeli Drake shot 19-over 161 to tie for eighth after seeing rounds of 12-over 83 and 7-over 78.
Meredith Reid and
Ally Richard finished within one stroke of each other, as Reid carded a 24-over 166 and Richard turned in a 25-over 167. Reid shot 13-over 84 in the round and followed with her lowest round of the day in the second, shooting 11-over 82. Richard recorded a 13-over 84, and like Reid, registered her best play in the second round with a 12-over 83.
Southeastern will compete in its final tournament of the regular season on April 6 and 7 at the Augustana Invitational.
