Button Earns All-American Honors, Finishes Tied for Eighth at NCAA Championship

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Carley Button competed at the NCAA Championship over the last three days and shot 7-over 223 across 54 holes of play to place tied for eighth individually and earn All-American status with her top 10 finish.

Button, who represents the first player in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championship, put in a strong performance in round one, carding an even-par 72 with a trio of birdies. The Denton, Texas, began the opening day with an even-par 36 on the front nine and had a near-flawless back nine with one bogey and a birdie.
 
On day two, Button fired a 3-over 75 with her best play coming on the back half of the Par 72 course, where she shot 1-over par. The junior scattered two more birdies in the round, recording one on Hole 3 and 12.
 
Capping off her play at the PGA National Resort's The Champion, Button turned in a round three score of 4-over 76. The All-GAC Honorable Mention player got her day started on Hole 10 and shot 1-over par on the back nine with three birdies. Button followed with a 3-over par score on the front half, where she would add a birdie to her score card on Hole 6, and ended the event with nine total birdies.   
 
Button completed her historic season with seven top ten placements across 13 events played and two top three finishes, including her second-place finish at the Central Regional Tournament.
