BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern falls in the opening round of the GAC Tournament on Thursday evening to No. 3 seed Oklahoma Baptist 6-1. The Savage Storm ended the season 23-28 overall and 15-17 in conference play.

The blue and gold scattered five hits in the game, led by two from
Emily Simmons, who had one of the team's two extra-base hits.
India McMurray scored the lone run for the Storm on a solo home run, while
Tally Rowland and
Abrianna Kennedy each had a hit

 E. Simmons tossed 4.0 frames in her start, and
Alyson Malone would close out the final 2.0 innings. The pair combined for four strikeouts, and Malone would not surrender a hit in her relief stint.

SE looked to strike in the top of the first with runners on first and second, but the Bison would land the opening punch with three runs scored in the bottom half. Oklahoma Baptist continued to apply pressure with its base running, adding a run in the third and fourth to push the gap to 5-0.

OBU plated another score in the bottom of the fourth, before McMurray got the blue and gold on the board in the top of the fifth with a leadoff solo home run over the center field wall, 6-1. SE looked to add to its score during the top of the sixth with runners on first and second, but the breakthrough hit would not come.
