THACKERVILLE, Okla. – Through two rounds of play at the WinStar Invitational, Southeastern is sixth with a 36-hole score of 27-over 603 after shooting 26-over 314 on day two.
The blue and gold five-bag was led by
Emma Thompson on day two, as Thompson carded a 1-over 73 with a birdie and an eagle on the par-4 hole 12. The sophomore, through 36 holes of play, ranks second individually with a score of 3-under 141.
Carley Button recorded an 8-over 80 in round two and sits tied for 15
th on the player leaderboard with a combined score of 5-over 149. Button got the day started 7-over 43 on the front nine and would improve on the back half, shooting 1-over par.
Kaeli Drake matched Button's 8-over 80 on the day, as the sophomore is 16-over 160 for the event.
Karen Kim fired a 9-over 81 with a pair of birdies and is tied for 27
th individually through 36 holes of play with a score of 9-over 153.
Meredith Reid followed with a 10-over 82, shooting 7-over 43 on the front nine and 3-over 39 on the back nine. Reid is tied for 48
th on the player leader with a two-round score of 18-over 162.
Natalie Breaux turned her best score of the event on day, improving her round score by one stroke to 9-over 81. Breaux saw her best play come on the back nine, where she shot even par with a birdie. Breaux, through two rounds of play, is 20-over 164.
Southeastern wraps up play at the WinStar Invitational tomorrow, starting at 7:50 a.m., with Breaux getting the Savage Storm started.
