THACKERVILLE, Okla. – After three rounds of play at the WinStar Invitational, Southeastern finishes sixth with a score of 43-over 907. SE shot 16-over 304 on the final day at the par-72 course.

The Savage Storm were one of two GAC schools competing in the field of eight and finished just ahead of Harding, who placed seventh with a score of 57-over 921. Dallas Baptist captured the win with an 8-under 856 across 54 holes of play, followed by St. Mary's in second with a 10-over 874.

Southeastern had two players place in the top 15 individually, led by
Emma Thompson, who tied for fourth with a three-round score of even-par 216. Thompson shot 3-over 75 on the final day with a pair of birdies, and would end the tournament with 10, which was tied for the eighth most.
Carley Button turned in a 1-over 73 on day three for a final score of 6-over 222 to place 13
th on the player leaderboard. Button's final round was highlighted by an eagle on the par 5 hole nine.

Like Button,
Karen Kim would sink an eagle on the par 5 hole nine before rounding out the day with a 3-over 75. Kim shot 12-over 228 over the 54 holes of play to tie for 27
th individually.
Kaeli Drake ended the third round 10-over 82 and wrapped up the tournament 26-over 242 to place 50
th. Drake got the last day started with 7-over 43 on the front nine before improving on the back nine, where she carded a 3-over 39.

Meredith Reid followed in 51
st with a score of 27-over 243, following a 9-over 81 in round three.
Natalie Breaux rounded out play for SE with a 29-over 245 to finish 52
nd after matching her second-round score on the final day, turning in a 9-over 81 with a pair of birdies.

Southeastern returns to the course on September 14-15 at the NSU Women's Classic in Tulsa, Okla., at the Page Belcher Golf Course.
