Nick Diatta transfers to Southeastern as a junior… Prior to SE… played two seasons at South Plains JC… was named Most Valuable Teammate… won the Academic Excellence Award… won the Martin Luther King Jr. Award… High School… played for coach Kevin Sutton at Montverde Academy in Orlando, Fla.... helped his team to a basketball state championship… Personal… an international business major… is the son of Boniface and Fean I. Sobelle Oudiane of Senegal... also founded Nick Diatta's Shoes for Senegal in which he has organized a shoe drive to send shoes to people in need in Senegal, and since 2008 the program has sent more than 3,500 shoes.
