Chris McGill

Chris McGill joined the Southeastern Oklahoma State men’s basketball coaching staff prior to the 2010-11 season.

In his second season with the Savage Storm helped guide the team to a 12-17 record, a five game turnaround fromt he previous season, and the squad won four of its last five regular season games and advanced to the Great American Conference tournament. The postseason game was SE's first since the 2006-07 season.

He coached his first all-GAC player in Zac Downing and also guided the league's first Freshman of the Year in Antonio Worthy.

His first season he helped guide Urald King to first team all-Lone Star Conference honors.

McGill makes the move to SE after a five-year stint at Missouri Valley College where he was the head assistant and managed player development on and off the court, as well as strength and conditioning, scouting and recruiting.

Prior to his time at MVC, he spent the 2004-05 season at Highland University, which followed a two-year stop as an assistant at Brookhaven College from 2001-03.

McGill has also served a season as the head coach of Team Force in the Dallas All-Stars Semi-Pro League.

He is a native of Dallas, Texas, and he and his wife Courtney currently reside in Durant with their two children, a son, Colin Henry and a daughter, Sydney Cathryn.
