Trevor Van Tassel joined the Southeastern staff heading into the 2018-19 season as a graduate assistant.
Over his two seasons the Savage Storm posted back-to-back NCAA Central Region Tournament berths and a 46-16 record, twice earning the number two seed in the GAC tournament.
He has couched a trio of All-Great American Conference selections, led by 2019 Conference Player of the Year Kevin Buckingham.
He served as an assistant coach at his alma mater Colorado Mesa from 2016-18 after wrapping up a playing career that from from 2011-2016.
In 2016 he earned his undergraduate degree in history from Colorado Mesa and in 2020 he completed his master's degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern.
