DURANT, Okla. –
Madelynne Cera turned in her second triple-double of the season, but it was not enough to get Southeastern over the hump in a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State in the regular season finale on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 5-27 on the season and 3-11 in Great American Conference play.

SE will, however, qualify for the No. 8 seed in the GAC tournament beginning Nov. 15 in Searcy, Ark.  The Storm will open the tournament against top-seeded Harding at 5 pm.

Southeastern opened with a 25-22 win in the first set, but dropped sets two and three by scores of 25-17 and 25-20 to fall behind 2-1.  A 25-23 win in set four would knot the score at 2-2, but SWOSU would take set five 15-8 to clinch the match.

Cera's second triple-double was an impressive outing with 10 kills, 32 assists and 13 digs to lead the charge.

Emily Gentle led the offensive outing with 18 kills to add a double-double of her own, while
Megan Kunkel chipped in nine kills.

Five Storm players had double-digit dig outings, led by Kunkel's 17.  Gentle followed with her 15, with
Taylor Benner at 14.  Cera and
Kristin Martin rounded out the double-digit outings with 13 and 11, respectively.

Natasha Smith led the defense at the net with four blocks, while Cera and
Jasmine Everage each chipped in two.
