Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern shot 56.7 percent in the second half and overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to snag a 67-61 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The win is the fifth in-a-row for the Savage Storm who maintain their lead atop the Great American Conference with a 5-1 record on the year and move to 9-3 overall on the season.
 
SE had a trio of double-digit scorers led by 
Chris Roussell who turned in 19 points with three three pointers.
 
He was joined in double-digits by 
Travis Timmons with 15 and 
Steven Kohli with 14.
 
Mateus Oliveira led the team with a game-high 13 rebounds as SE held a 38-to-35 edge on the glass.
 
Kohli nearly posted a double-double with nine rebounds, while Roussell added eight.
 
Timmons flirted with a double-double by dishing out a team-best seven assists, while 
Andris Misters chipped in five.
 
Southeastern hit 47.4 percent from the field for the game on the strength of a 56.7 percent second-half effort, while holding UAM to 38.6 percent shooting for the game.
 
SE held a slight edge of 34-30 in the paint, while UAM edged out the Storm in second-chance points and points off turnovers.
 
The teams traded buckets out of the gate, but UAM would jump to an early 8-3 lead.
 
Kohli and Roussell would answer with threes to give the Storm a lead and key a run that would leave SE up 13-8 with 13:35 to play in the half.
 
SE would hold the lead for a chunk of the first half before UAM used a 10-0 run to end the half and take a 32-24 lead at the break.
 
UAM would lead by as many as nine points before the Storm used an 8-0 run capped by a Timmons three pointer to retake the lead with 11:16 to play.
 
The Boll Weevils would regain the lead and SE would twice tie the contest before finally regaining the lead for good at 56-54 on a Roussell bucket with 4:39 to play.
 
UAM would close the gap to one point, but back-to-back buckets by 
Quinton Threadgill and Kohli would put SE up 61-56 with 3:19 remaining.
 
UAM would again close the lead back to two points before the Storm would hit the final four points of the game to hold on to the 67-61 win.
