Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern used a 25-3 second half run to pull away from Southwestern Oklahoma State down the stretch and pick up a 70-51 win on Saturday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 13-10 overall on the year and 9-8 in Great American Conference play.  While the seeding the conference tournament is still very much in the air, the win, coupled with an East Central loss on Saturday locked up a spot in the GAC tourney for SE.

Southeastern got a big night out of Andris Misters who turned in 22 points to lead four players in double-digits.

Misters was 5-of-10 form the floor, including a 3-of-6 mark from long range, and 9-of-10 from the free throw line.

Chris Roussell turned in one of his best all-around nights, finishing one assists shy of a triple double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.  He also added a game-high six steals.

Mateus Oliveira turned in 13 points, while Steven Kohli added 10.

Southeastern shot a steady 42.9 percent from the floor on the night, posting a mark over 40 percent in each half, while the defense stiffened in the second half, holding SWOSU to 25.9 percent shooting, including a 1-for-13 effort from three point range.

The Storm held a 24-9 edge in points off turnovers along with advantages in points in the paint and second chance points.

SE got off to a slow start in the first half, falling behind 8-0 before a Roussell jumper with 18:00 to go in the half put the Storm on the board.

SWOSU would maintain its lead until Mister finished off a fastbreak with a layup with 7:24 to go in the first that put SE up 18-17.

The Bulldogs would regain the lead and push it out to five points before the Storm scored the final eight points of the half to take a 28-25 lead at halftime.

The teams opened the second half fairly even, with SWOSU cutting SE's lead to 38-36 with 11:35 to play in the game.

That was when the Storm caught wind and reeled off 14 straight points and when the dust settled with 3:02 to play, Southeastern capped a 25-3 run on an Antonio Worthy layup.

SE would hold on for the 70-51 win.
