Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Behind a 20 point, 18 rebound performance from
Urald King Southeastern snapped its losing skid with a 64-58 victory over Arkansas Tech on Sunday Afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 5-10 overall on the year and 3-7 in Great American Conference play, while also bringing to a close a 10-game losing streak that started back in November.

The outing was King's fifth double-double of the season, the fourth time he topped 20 points in a game, and the third time to record 15-or-more rebounds in a contest.

King finished 8-of-13 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

He was joined in double-figures by
Darius Harris who finished with 13 points, and
Daichi Taniguchi who added 10.

Taylor Smaller finished with nine and
Anton Cook added eight.
Â
Smaller triggered the offense as effectively as he has all year with a season-best eight assists, and Harris added four in the win.

Harris followed up Kings 18 boards with seven as the team held a 37-to-30 edge in rebounding over ATU.

The Storm shot 46.0 percent for the game form the field, including a 40.0 percent mark form three point range. For good measure SE also added a 12-of-14 night at the free throw line as a team.

Despite getting the win, ATU held advantages in nearly every specialty category including points off turnovers and second chance points.

Southeastern scored the game's first seven points and reeled off a 12-1 run to open the contest.

The lead would grow to as many as 14 points twice, with the last coming on a King jumper with 5:34 to go in the first half.

The Wonder Boys would answer with a 13-0 run to finish the half and cut the SE lead to 29-28 at the break.

ATU would tie the game early in the second half, but SE would maintain an edge in the game.

After ATU twice more tied the game, the Storm got a jumper from King and a three by Taniguchi to go up 46-41 with 11:18 to play.

The Wonder Boys would respond with a 10-0 run to take their first lead in the contest and push that advantage to 51-46 with 8:20 to play.

SE would answer with an 8-0 run of their own to retake the lead 54-51 after a pair of Harris free throws.

ATU would tie the game with 3:37 to play and later take a 57-56 lead with 1:23 to play.

A King bucket with 56 second left would regain the lead for the Storm who would finish the contest on an 8-1 run to pick up the 64-58 victory.
