DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern bounced back from a 9-0 loss to Washburn in the opening game of the Southeastern Regional Invitational to pick up a 3-2 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday afternoon at the Durant Multi-Sports Complex.

The split moves the No. 4 Savage Storm to 3-5 on the season heading into a rematch with No. 16 St. Mary's at 10 a.m. on Feb. 15, followed by a 3 p.m. matchup with Newman.

In game two
Jacee Bennett evened her record at 2-2 after tossing a complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

Courtney Riddle,
Jordyn James,
Laramie Beal and
Breanna Smith each had two hits, while four others added one each.

Riddle, Smith and
Sydney Kramer each drove in a run.

The Storm jumped in front on a Riddle sac fly in the bottom of the third inning, but fell behind a half inning later with the Javelinas connected on a two-run home run.

A Beal single in the bottom of the fifth that scored Riddle would tie the game again at 2-2.

Kramer would break the tie in the bottom of the sixth inning on a sac fly that plated
Darrian Williams to go up 3-2.

Bennett would then strike out two of the four hitters to bat in the seventh inning to preserve the 3-2 win.

The opening game of the tournament was not so kind to the Storm as WU used four home runs and scored in each of the game's five innings to pull away for a 9-0 win.

Haley Strawn had the only multi-hit game for SE, finishing 2-for-2, while Kramer, Riddle and Beal each added a hit.

Ashley Moore got the start in the circle and was tagged for eight runs on 10 hits with a pair of K's over 3.0 innings before
Jessica Seay tossed the final inning and allowed a run on two hits.
