DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern surrendered three runs in the top of the ninth inning and were unable to rally in the bottom half in a 5-2 loss to Texas A&M-International on Sunday afternoon at the Ballpark in Durant.

The Savage Storm dropped to 10-13 overall on the year and will be back on the diamond for another non-conference matchup when it hosts Northeastern State at 2 p.m. on March 22.

Seven different SE hitters each collected hit, with
Brandon Grimsley and
Collin Sefcik each drove in a run, with
Kaleb Thomas and Grimsley each scoring once.

Logan Terwilliger got the start and tossed 6.0 innings and took a no decision after allowing two runs on five hits with one strikeout.

Cody Luman was saddled with the loss after tossing the final 3.0 innings and allowing three runs on three hits with three K's.

Southeastern took the early lead on a Grimsley RBI walk with the bases loaded in the third inning.

TAMIU put up a run in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 2-1 lead, but Sefcik erased the deficit with an RBI single to left to plate Grimsley in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 2-2.

The dustdevils would then score three runs in the top of the ninth to swipe the 5-2 win.
