OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Southeastern volleyball found its trip to the Oklahoma City metroplex tough travels on Friday, opening the afternoon with a 3-0 loss at the hands of No. 19 Central Oklahoma before finishing the day with a hard-fought 3-0 loss at Oklahoma City.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 2-7 overall on the season heading back into Great American Conference play on Sept. 22 when they head to Shawnee, Okla., to face Oklahoma Baptist.

In the nightcap, Abby Jameson turned in 10 kills to lead the way, while Jessica Baker added seven and Maggie Benson chipped in six.

Alissa Benson dished out a team-high 16 assists, while Bayley Cook added 11.

Jameson completed the double-double with a team-best 14 digs, while Baker and Charlene Nerio each added 10.

SE clawed ahead early in the first set against OCU, going up 11-8, but the Stars bounced back with a 6-0 run to take the lead.  They would use a 4-0 run later to take the lead for good and steal a 25-22 win in the first set.

The second set was a back-and-forth battle throughout its duration, with OCU eventually taking the set 25-20 after scoring the final four points in the set, the longest run either team had in the set.

SE held an early lead in the third west as well, and remained close even after that lead disappeared, tying the score once and closing to one point three times before OCU pulled out the 25-22 decision in the clinching set.

The day's opener against a ranked-UCO squad was less kind to the Storm who were led offensively on the match by Baker who finished with eight kills, while Benford chipped in six and Jameson had five.
