BETHANY, Okla. – Southeastern continued to make its push for a spot in the Great American Conference postseason tournament as it rallied for a second-straight victory, downing Southern Nazarene 3-2 on Tuesday night in Bethany, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 10-15 overall on the season and 3-9 in conference play as they will now have 10 days off before heading to Alva, Okla., for a Nov. 4 matchup against Northwestern Oklahoma State.

SE had a foursome of double-digit kills, led by
Abby Jameson who turned in 16 for the match, while
Julia Benford and
Karine Cavalcante chipped in 14 apiece.
Arianna Baker turned in 10 of her own.

Alissa Benson dished out 49 assists for the match while adding a pair of aces and completing a double-double with 13 digs.

It was
Caitlin Cosby who again paced the Storm on defense with 24 digs, while Cavalcante added 16,
Kristi Carter 14, and Jameson 13 along with Benson.

Benford finished the night with three blocks, while Jameson, Baker and
Erika Costain added two each.

The teams traded runs in the first set through the early going and the Storm was able to take a 21-20 lead late, but SNU would finish with five-straight points to take the opening set 25-21.

Southeastern jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second set but could not hold off a rally as the Crimson Storm would tie the score at 24-24, but SE would take the final two points for s 26-24 win to event he match at 1-1.

The third set would stretch past 25 as well, this time however it was SNU who broke a 27-27 tie with back-to-back points to jump ahead 2-1 with a 29-27 win in the set.

Another strong start would stake the Storm to a 9-3 lead in the fourth set which would promptly stretch to 14-5 thanks to an SE block and four SNU errors. The home team would close the gap some late, but Southeastern would cruise to a 25-18 win to even the match at 2-2.

The Storm would take control first in the final set, using a 6-1 run to hit the changeover with a lead and stretch it to 9-4.

SE would maintain the lead at five points, hitting 14-9 before a pair of SNU points, but a block by Baker and Jameson would end the set with a 15-11 Southeastern win and a 3-2 victory in the match.
