DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern cruised to a 7-1 win over Ouachita Baptist in the series opener on Saturday afternoon, but saw its comeback in game two fall just a few feet short in a 6-5 loss in the nightcap at The Ballpark in Durant.

The opener saw
Dylan Linke turn in his first complete game of the season, allowing an unearned run on two hits in 9.0 innings of work with six strikeouts.

The outing is his second-straight without allowing an earned run, pushing his streak of innings without an earned run to 16 in-a-row.

His offense helped him out with
Dylan Helms and
Kaleb Thomas each posting a pair of hits, while
Brandon Grimsley and
Bryson Allen added one each.

Helms drove in three runs on a three-run homer, while
Tim Hunter added a pair of RBI, one on a bases-loaded walk and the other on a sac fly. Allen and Terwilliger each drove in one.

The Tigers opened by taking advantage of an SE error to open up a 1-0 lead.

The Storm answered with Allen, tying the game on a bases-loaded walk, followed by a Terwilliger hit by pitch and then a Hunter walk to push the score to 3-1.

The scoreboard would show all zeros until the bottom of the sixth when Helms would connect on a three-run, two-out home run to double the score to 6-1.

Hunter would drive in
Jake Perez for one more insurance run in the seventh and the Storm would hold on for a 7-1 win.

In game two OBU jumped out to a 4-0 lead, with three runs being unearned in the top of the first inning.

The Tigers would stretch it to a 5-0 lead in the top of the third, and the Storm would be unable to push a run across until a Thomas single in the fifth plated Terwilliger to cut the score to 5-1.

OBU would add another run in the top of the seventh for a 6-1 edge.

SE would load the bases on a walk, a hit batter and a Helms single to open the bottom of the seventh.

Allen would drive in a run by beating out a double-play to score
Ty Hanson and close to 6-2.

Connor Counce then followed up with a three-run homer to left center to close the gap to 6-5 with two outs.

Corban Taylor followed with a single to left to bring up Terwilliger who crushed a ball to deep left center, but it was hauled in on the warning track to end the game and the SE rally.

Counce led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance with a homer and three RBI, while Thomas added a pair of hits and four others collected one each.

Scott Richards took the loss after tossing 2.1 innings and allowing five runs, two earned, on three hits with three strikeouts.

Bryce Clemons who also did not allow a run in an inning of work. Each struck out one.
