DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern picked up its fourth-straight win with a series opening 8-5 victory over Arkansas tech on Friday afternoon at the Ballpark in Durant.

The Savage Storm move to 15-16 overall on the season and 10-6 in Great American Conference play with the final two games of the series set for a noon double-header on Saturday.

SE collected 10 hits in the contest with seven of the nine starters picking up at least one, while
Dylan Helms,
Kaleb Thomas and
Bryson Allen each had two.

Brandon Grimsley drove in three runs on his three-run homer in the first inning, while Allen had a pair of RBI.

Logan Terwilliger and
Corban Taylor each has one RBI

Dylan Linke got the start and tossed 7.0 innings to collect his fourth win after allowing four runs, three earned, on 11 hits with three strikeouts.

He has now gone seven or more innings in his last four starts.

Brady Colbert came on in relief and picked up his seventh save after tossing the final two innings and allowing a run on a hit while striking out three.

After the Wonder Boys took the lead in the top of the first, Grimsley had the answer in the bottom half with a three-run homer that was lined over the right field wall ton open up a 3-1 lead.

ATU would tie the game with a run in the second and another in the fourth before taking a 4-3 lead with a run in the top of the sixth.

The Storm wasted little time in answering as a Thomas RBI double down the left field line would score Helms from first to tie the game and later Thomas would put SE back in front 5-4 on Taylor's sac fly.

Terwilliger would drive in
Tim Hunter with a groundout to the pitcher in the seventh and Allen would stretch the lead to 8-4 in the eighth with a single of the middle that scored
Connor Counce and
Greg Husnander.

ATU would get a run back on a bases-loaded intentional walk to Josh Watkins who had homered twice in the game, but Colbert would coax the next hitter into a pop out to third to end the game and preserve SE's 8-5 win.
