DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern racked up 548 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers on its way to celebrating a record-breaking night in a 45-38 win over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday night at Paul Laird Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 1-1 on the year overall and in Great American conference play heading into a noon matchup on Sept. 17 in Shawnee, Okla., against Oklahoma Baptist.

Kaymon Farmer and Devlon Wortham celebrated career record in the contest, Farmer snapping Daniel Nichols career receptions record of 192 while Wortham scored the 29th rushing touchdown of his career to surpass the 28 put up by Drew Beard.

CB Cantwell turned in a highly efficient passing effort with 349 yards on 26-of-35 passing with four touchdowns.

He hit nine different receivers, led by Farmer who racked up eight catches to move to 200 career receptions, going for a career-best 165 yards and two touchdowns, including a career-long 60 yards score.

Bryce Steele would haul in five catches for 39 yards and a TD, while CJ Elkins added one catch for a 21 yard score.

Ronnine Green finished with 21 carries for 109 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Wortham added 15 totes for 95 yards and his record-breaking score.

The offense put up 199 yards on the ground and 349 in the air.

Defensively, the Storm forced four turnovers, recovering three fumbles and adding a Troy Parker interception.

Nick Sierra led the way with seven tackles, one for a loss and a half sack, with Brickey Reed right behind with six stops.

On SE's first play on offense Cantwell would connect with Farmer for his record breaking reception, passing Daniel Nichols in career receptions with 193.

The Tigers would jump out to a 10-0 lead with a 19 yard Cole Antley field goal at the 10:32 mark of the first quarter and added a Brandon Marks touchdown run with 3:25 to go in the quarter.

The Storm would answer on the first play of the second quarter when Cantwell connected with Farmer for a 60 yards touchdown strike to close to 10-7.

On the ensuing drive Marcus Harris would force a fumble after a Drew Harris reception which was recovered by Kevin Jones at the OBU 40.

Five plays later Cantwell would find Elkins for a 21 yard touchdown to take a 14-10 lead with 1:26 to go in the first half.

Gant Kiolbassa would recover a Warford fumble on the first play of the next drive and the Storm would again drive, this time going 56 yards on 10 plays before Cantwell found Bryce Steele for a three-yard score and a 21-10 lead with 7:15 to play in the half.

Jake Walter would sky kick the ensuing kickoff to a wide open section of the field and Rob Gardner would recover what amounted to an onside kick at the Tiger 20 yardline.

Southeastern would cap that drive with a 22 yard Joel Carlos field goal for a 24-10 lead which would hold to be the difference at halftime.

Devlon Wortham would score on the third play of the second half from 20 yards out to put the Storm up 31-10 and in the process score his 29th career rushing touchdown to break Drew Beard's rushing TD record of 28.

OBU would answer with a 21 yard touchdown toss from Wardford to Ke'Vontae Pope to close it to 31-17, but SE would march the ensuing drive 79 yards on 10 plays before Green would score from a yard out to stretch the lead back to 38-17 with 6:46 to go third quarter.

However, the Tigers would respond with back-to-back scoring drives to make the score 38-31 after three quarters.

The Storm would stretch its lead back out to 45-31 when Farmer caught his second TD pass of the game from Cantwell, this one going 27 yards to cap an 8-yard, seven play drive.

OBU would add a late score on a 99 yard drive that took just three plays to close to within 45-38 with 47 seconds to play, but Jordan Hester would snag the onside kick attempt on the ensuing kickoff and after taking a knee the Storm would secure their first win of the season.
