ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Southeastern snaps a seven-match losing skid with a big 3-1 victory on the road over Henderson State on Friday night in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 6-16 overall on the season and 2-6 in conference play heading into a 1:30 p.m. contest on Saturday afternoon against Ouachita Baptist to wrap up the road trip.

Abby Jameson turned in a match-high 16 kills to lead the SE offense, while
Arianna Baker and
Erika Costain added 12 kills apiece.

Alissa Benson triggered the offense to the tune of 47 assists and completed the double-double with 18 digs while chipping in three kills and three blocks.

Caitlin Cosby led all defenders with a 37 dig outing to pace a total of five Storm players in double figures, with Jameson adding a double-double of her own with 18 digs, while Grace Shehadah turned in 25 and
Kristi Carter turned in 11.

At the net, Baker posted four blocks, while Costain and Benson each had three.

Southeastern took control of the first set with a 5-0 run late to open up a 19-13 lead and would cap the set with the final three points for a 25-20 win and a 1-0 lead.

The Storm jumped ahead early and held off an HSU charge in the second set to secure a 25-21 win and a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Reddies used an early run to take a lead in the third set and, despite a late SE push, would close the gap to 2-1 with a 25-20 win in the set.

HSU jumped ahead early in the fourth set, but a 6-0 mid-set run by the Storm would move them ahead 17-14 and SE would finish the set with the final three points to win 25-21 and clinch the 3-1 win in the match.
