DURANT, Okla. – A third-quarter Southeastern rally closed the gap, but the Savage Storm were unable to get over the hump as Arkansas Tech pulled ahead to hand SE a 78-64 loss on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 2-2 on the year and 1-1 in Great American Conference play heading into a Nov. 26 non-conference matchup with Texas A&M-Commerce at 4 p.m. in Commerce, Texas.

Katie Webb led all scorers in the contest with her third-straight 20-point outing, finishing with 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting,

Three others added nine points apiece, with Alix Robinson doing do on the back of three threes, while
Emem David and Ariannah Kemp scored theirs entirely inside the arc.

Robinson dished out a team-high five assists, while David handed out four as the team racked up 20 for the contest.

Webb also hauled in a team-best nine rebounds, while David added eight.

ATU jumped ahead early, but SE would recover and take an 11-10 lead on a David bucket at the 2:58 mark, however the Golden Suns would go on to take a 16-11 lead at the first break.

The scoring picked up in the second quarter as ATU would extend its lead by taking the frame 24-17 and lead the contest 40-28 at halftime.

The Storm mounted a comeback in the third, trailing by as many as 13 points before eventually putting together an 18-7 run to close to 56-53 on a Courtney Brady three, but would head to the fourth down 58-53.

ATU would score the first eight points of the fourth quarter and SE was unable to recover, falling 78-64.
