DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern got a 24 point effort from Markell Henderson and forced overtime, but were outscored 14-7 in the extra frame en route to an 89-82 loss on Saturday afternoon to Oklahoma Christian.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 4-6 heading back into Great American Conference play with a Jan. 4 matchup with Ouachita Baptist in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
Â
Henderson finished the night 8-for-14 with a trio of threes to put up 24 points for the contest.
"Markell has the ability to make baskets," said head coach Kelly Green. "We need more consistency out of him, where he's making baskets and taking better shots. He's so physically talented that you expect so much more of him every time. We do expect a lot of him, and hopefully nothing but good things to come for the second semester."Â
He was joined in double figures by A'Torey Everett who turned in 16 points off the bench, while Jett Jobe finished with 13 thanks to a 3-for-3 effort from behind the arc. Kevin Buckingham rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11 on 5-of-7 shooting.

Â
Jobe and Jose Libanio led the way on the glass with six boards each.
"We just got killed on the glass" said Green. "Big baskets, we helped up the floor. We didn't keep them in front a couple times late in the possession, and they drive around us when were supposed to switch a ball screen, and we don't switch and they get in. They just outmanned us at the basket."
Â
Southeastern trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half before rallying and taking a 31-30 lead on a DJ Henderson three.
Â
OC would answer by regaining the lead and the Storm headed to the half trailing 39-35.
Â
SE took its first second-half lead on a Buckingham three with 13:30 to go at 51-49, but would continue to trail for most of the second half, facing a 75-72 deficit with 16 seconds to go in regulation when Jobe drained a game-tying three which would force OT tied at 75-75.
Â
The Storm took the lead first and led as late as the 2:14 mark at 80-79, but the Eagles finished the game on a 10-2 run to hand SE an 89-82 loss.
