DURANT, Okla. –
Symphoni Shomo connected on a one-out walkoff double to score
Ashton Adkins and polish off a 4-3 rally victory in game two to save a split against Ouachita Baptist after dropping game one 5-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.
The split moves the Savage Storm to 13-13 overall on the year and 7-9 in Great American Conference play heading into a Sunday twinbill versus OBU at 10 a.m.

SE needed a pair of runs in the seventh as it trailed 3-2 heading to its final at bats.
Â
Mykaela Wallace homered to lead off the seventh inning, knotting the game at 3-3.

Adkins would follow by reaching on an error by the Tiger second baseman, moving to second on an
Emily Cudd sacrifice bunt.
Â
Shomo would then double on the ground to right center, scoring Adkins for the 4-3 win.

OBU would score first with a run in the second inning, but SE answered in the fourth with a sac fly from
Conner Harmon.

The Tigers would regain the lead with a two-run homer in the top of the fifth, but the storm was only able to get one of those runs back in the bottom half when Adkins scored on a
Jordyn James RBI single to close the gap to 3-2.

Shomo and
Destiny Riddle finished the game with two hits each, while Wallace, Adkins and James added one apiece.

Shomo, Harmon, Wallace and James would each log an RBI.

Ashley Moore got the start and tossed 6.2 innings while allowing three runs on five hits with a pair of strikeouts but took a no decision.

Cudd would face one batter and allow a hit, before
Destiny Riddle would face one batter and record the final out of the top of the seventh, leaving her as the pitcher of record to earn her second win of the year.

Keeshia Thompson would post a pair of hits, while four others had one each in the opener, also adding an RBI alongside
Kennedy Salyers and
Marisa Fleck.

Cudd would get saddled with the loss after allowing five runs on nine hits with four strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work, with Riddle recording two-thirds of an inning in the game and allowing one hit.

The Tigers would open up a 4-0 lead with a pair of two-run doubles in the fourth inning.

A Salyers double would plate Shomo in the bottom of the fourth and trim the deficit to 4-1.

OBU added a run in the fifth to go up 5-1, with SE posting runs on RBI hits by Fleck and Thompson in the sixth, but the rally fell short in a 5-3 loss.
