SHAWNEE, Okla. – Despite getting on the board first in both contests, Southeastern fell victim to Oklahoma Baptist late-inning runs in a pair of losses on Sunday afternoon, falling 7-1 and 3-2 in Shawnee, Okla.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 14-24-1 overall and 12-15 in Great American Conference play.

Brett Akins, Luke Thomas and Jett Swigart each collected a hit in the game with Thomas driving in the team's lone run.

Hayden Grimes got the start and took the loss after tossing 4.1 innings and allowing four runs on four hits with six strikeouts.

Michael Brinska came on in relief and allowed a hit in two-third of an inning before handing off to Jake Patterson who recorded two innings of work and allowed a run on three hits with three K's.

Cory Scheibner would finish the contest and allow a pair of unearned runs on three hits in an inning fo work.

Thomas' single in the first inning would plate Cade Clay and open up a 1-0 lead for the Storm.

OBU would answer with a four-run fifth inning and would not look back, adding three more runs in the eighth for the 7-1 final score.

In the nightcap Travis Spinney connected on a pair of hits, while Akins, Cameron Roberts and Swigart had one each.

Akins would collect an RBI as well.

Scott Richards got the start and took the loss after throwing 4.1 innings and allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits with a strikeout.

Brinska would follow up with 1.2 innings of work and scattered three hits with three strikeouts.

Akins would put the Storm on the board by driving in Hunter Harrison with a double and coming around to score to open up a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.

The Bison knotted the game in the bottom half of the first and would take the lead in the third with a run which would also fashion the 3-2 final score.
