DURANT, Okla. – Big single innings in each game by Arkansas Tech proved costly for Southeastern as it was swept on Saturday afternoon, dropping the opener 9-1 before falling in the finale 4-0.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 16-22 overall on the year and 10-18 in Great American Conference play.

In game one it was a five-run first inning by the Golden Suns that left SE playing catch up the entire game.

A
Keeshia Thompson single in the bottom of the first inning which would allow
Destiny Riddle to score on an error was an answer, but it was the only response the Storm would have as ATU tacked on four more ruins over the next six innings to win 9-1.

Symphoni Shomo finished the contest with a pair of this, with four others recording one each.

Emily Cudd tossed 4.1 innings and took the loss after allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 12 hits.

Ashley Moore would throw 2.2 innings and was tagged for a run on four hits with a pair of strikeouts.

In the series finale things stayed quiet until the top of the third inning when ATU again had a big inning, this time scoring all four of their runs.

The Storm would put runners in scoring position in the third and fourth innings before loading the bases in the fifth but were unable to bring home any runs.

Five different hitters collected one hit each in the contest.

Cudd agaion got the start and again took the loss, this time tossing 2.2 innings and allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits.

Riddle would then come on to throw 4.1 innings and scatter six hits without allowing a run.
