MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southeastern volleyball got double-digit kill outings form
Abby Jameson and
Arianna Baker and snapped a five-match losing skid with a 3-1 win over Southern Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 7-16 overall and 3-8 in Great American Conference play.
Â
Jameson finished the match with 15 kills to lead all attackers, while Baker was right behind with 12.Â
Hallie Smith also added seven in the effort.

Sydney Meget turned in 28 assists to lead the setting pair, while
Jodi Dixon added 11. Meget also chipped in a match-high six service aces and added seven digs.

Caitlin Cosby led the defense with 19 digs to pace all defenders, while Jameson and
Jaclyn Menner each tallied 11.

Caroline Griffith led the team at the net with three blocks, while Baker chipped in two.

SE used a massive 9-1 run in the first set to rally from an early deficit and would pull away to win it 25-17.

After the Storm jumped out to an early lead in the second set, it was SAU who rallied and would take four of the final five points to win the set 25-22 and even the match at 1-1.

Southeastern took control early in the third set and never trailed on its way to a 25-16 win in the set and a 2-1 match lead.

In the final set the Storm would use a 5-0 run to break a 12-12 tie and never look back on its way to a 25-21 win in the set and a 3-1 win in the match.
