th-ranked Southeastern men's tennis team opened its spring schedule on Wednesday with a 7-2 road victory over Arkansas-Ft. Smith in Ft. Smith, Ark.

The win gets the Savage Storm off to a 1-0 start heading into the team's home opener against Seminole State at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19.

SE opened up a 2-1 lead after doubles play with the duo of
Ondrej Nice and
Carlos Anez cruising to an 8-3 win at one doubles.

Milos Vuckovic and
Sandro Lena followed suit with an 8-3 win of their own at the three doubles spot.

Anez carried over his momentum into singles play and after dropping the first set 7-5 to UAFS's Danie Barrero he would bounce back and take the next two sets 7-5 and 6-4 to push the Storm lead to 3-1.

Matias Vargas followed up in the number two singles position with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Will Van Dyke to make the edge 4-1.

Danrich Kruger would clinch the win in the three position bouncing back from a first set loss to down Brady Kanyon 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.

Lena would follow up with a default win at the number four spot and
Jeremy Despont added a 6-2, 6-1 win at the six position to complete the 7-2 victory.
