ENID, OKLA. – Southeastern baseball saw its four-game win streak come to an end in a 9-1 non-conference loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday night at David Allen Ballpark in Enid, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 14-17 overall heading into a three-game Great American Conference series March 30-31 against Harding in Searcy, Ark.

Bryce Deatherage, Travis Spiney,
Brett Akins,
Jett Swigart,
Harrison Whitworth, and
Caleb Dubler each collected a hit, while Akins drove in the only run.

Cody Johnson got the start and tossed 2.0 innings, taking the loss after allowing four runs, three earned, on three hits with two strikeouts.

Tiler Flether,
Scott Brinkley,
Bridger Dauenhauer,
Jonny Mireles, Baily Burks, and
Brian Egan each tossed an inning to close out the contest.

Fletcher was tagged for two runs on two hits, while Brinkley allowed three runs on five hits.

Dauenhauer allowed a hit and the entire group combined for five K's.

NWOSU took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but the Storm responded by getting a run back in the top of the third on an Akins RBI single which scored Dubler to close to 4-1.

However, the Rangers followed with two runs in the third and added three in the fourth to fashion the final score of 9-1.
