SEARCY, Ark. – Southeastern's 
Cody Nitson tossed a complete game en route to a 2-1 win in a pitcher's duel in the series opener against Harding Friday night in Searcy, Ark.
 
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 15-17 overall and 10-9 in Great American Conference play.
 
Nitson turned in his second complete game of the season, allowing a run on four hits in 9.0 innings of work with eight strikeouts.
 
Austin Ferguson and 
Brett Akins led the offensive charge with three hits each.
 
Joseph Cerda added two hits, while 
Travis Spinney chipped in one.
 
Akins collected the team's lone RBI.
 
Harding jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a two-out RBI single.
 
The Storm found its response in the top of the sixth, tying the game on an Akins RBI double that scored 
Austin Ferguson and taking a 2-1 lead when Akins came around to score on a passed ball later in the inning.
 
Nitson would follow by allowing just two baserunners over the final four innings for the Bisons as SE would hold on for a 2-1 win.
