LAWTON, Okla. – Southeastern picked up its fourth-straight win on Tuesday afternoon with a 10-3 road win in a non-conference matchup with in-state foe Cameron in Lawton, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-10 overall on the year heading into a three-game Great American Conference series with Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, Okla., March 9-10.

Joseph Cerda led the offense with three hits, while
Travis Spinney and
Jett Swigart added two more hits each.
Â
Bryce Deatherage and
Brett Akins each tacked on a hit as well.
Â
Spinney would drive in a pair of runs, while Deatherage,
Austin Ferguson,
Harrison Whitworth, and Swigart each added one RBI.

Collin Jameson got the start and tossed 3.0 innings and allowing two hits while striking out four, taking a no decision.

Scott Brinkley came on in relief an allowed three runs on three hits in three innings of work with four K's to collect the win.

Dallas Guerrero collected the save after tossing 3.0 innings and scattering five hits while striking out one.

Southeastern's offense exploded in the top of the second inning, starting when Whitworth plated Akins on a squeeze bunt to take a 1-0 lead.

The Storm would follow that by loading the bases with two outs before
Bryce Deatherage drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 2-0.

Whitworth and
Caleb Dubler scored a batter later when
Travis Spinney reached on an error, and Deatherage would come home on an error by the catcher on a double steal attempt to open up a 6-0 lead midway through the second inning.

Spinney would later single home
Jett Swigart in the top of the fourth to stretch the lead to 6-0.

An inning later Whitworth would reach on an error by the pitcher which allowed
Joseph Cerda to score and make the lead 7-0 midway through the fifth.

The Aggies would get an answer in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run double to trim the Storm lead to 7-3.

Spinney added to the lead in the top of the eighth, singling home Swigart and Ferguson tacked on another run with a sac fly a batter later to score a pinch-running
Slayde Ortiz and take a 9-3 lead.

A Swigart triple in the ninth would score Cerda and push the final margin to 10-3 in favor of the Storm.
