DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern piled up 22 runs in 11 innings en route to a pair of run-rule victories over Southwestern Oklahoma State, taking the opener 8-0 in five innings before picking up a 14-6 win in six innings in the nightcap on Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The wins move the Savage Storm to 14-9 overall on the season and 10-2 in Great American Conference play with an 11 a.m. double-header slated for Saturday to finish out the series.

Kelsey Meeks collected a complete game, two-hit shutout in the opener while striking out five and allowing a pair of walks to collect the win.
Â
Elexis Watson led the offense with a pair of hits, including a home runs, and piled up three RBI.
Â
Six others added a hit apiece, with
Destiny Riddle,
Keeshia Thompson,
Karsyn Brigance,
Mykaela Wallace, and
Kennedy Salyers each drove in a run.
Â
Riddle connected on a solo homer off the scoreboard in the top of the first to open up a 1-0 lead.
Â
Watson followed with a double and scored on a Brigance double, and Brigance scored a batter later on a Wallace RBI single for a 3-0 lead.

The offense went quiet until the bottom of the fifth inning, adding a run on a Thompson RBI double first before taking a 7-0 lead on a three-run Watson homer.
Â
The game would come to an end later in the fifth when Salyers would drive in Wallace on a ground out for the 8-0 win.

Riddle posted a 3-for-3 outing in game two with a pair of walks, two runs scored and three RBI.
Â
Symphoni Shomo and Watson each added two hits, while five others posted one each.
Â
Thompson also added three RBI, while Riddle drove in two, as did
Sydnee Hinkle, while
Kendyl Dockter chipped in an RBI.

Emily Cudd got the start in the second game and tossed an inning in a no decision after allowing six runs, only two of them earned, on three hits.

Riddle followed with an inning of work and allowed a hit.
Â
Meeks finished the game and collected the win after tossing 4.0 innings and allowing a pair of hits and striking out two.

The Bulldogs put the Storm in a deep 6-0 hole in the top of the first inning with a pair of homers.

SE found an answer in the second inning getting on the board with a Dockter pinch-hit double to plate Hinkle.

Later in the inning the Storm would draw back-to-back bases-loaded walks from Riddle and Thompson to plate two more runs, followed by a two-run Watson single to close the gap to 6-5.

Hinkle would complete the rally by drawing another bases-loaded walk to plate Watson and knot the game at 6-6.
Â
SE would pick back up in the bottom of the third, with Shomo singling and stealing two bases before scoring on a Riddle bunt single to take the lead.

Riddle then came home on a two-run Thompson homer to make it 9-6.

Later in the inning Hinkle would double home a pinch-running
Marilyn Maas and Wallace would finish the inning off by scoring on a wild pitch to make the lead 11-6.

The Storm would finish the contest in the sixth inning on a Watson double that drove in Meeks, but allowed both Riddle and Watson herself to score on a throwing error to trigger the run-rule in a 14-6 win.
