DURANT, Okla. –  Southeastern Athletics has announced the final 'Calm Before the Storm' event of 2018-19 which will preview Southeastern's spring sports including baseball, softball, men and women's tennis, men's golf, and newly added women's track & field. The event will take place Monday, January 28 from 12-1 p.m. with doors opening at 11:45 a.m. at the Massey Building located at 200 W. Main Street in Durant. Lunch will be provided with schedule posters and cards being available as well.
 
Those in attendance will hear from featured speakers including head coaches and student-athletes from each program. Southeastern Director of Athletics Keith Baxter will also give remarks. Jay Lindly, sales manager of Mix 96.1 FM and the radio voice of the Storm on the Southeastern Sports Network, will be the emcee for the event. 
 
Opening dates for each sport are below:

Softball: February 1 at Arkansas Tech Invitational I Houston, TX
Men & Women's Tennis: February 9 at Southwest Baptist I Springfield, MO
Baseball: February 1 at Central Oklahoma I Edmond, OK
Golf: February 25-26 at St. Mary's Invitational I San Antonio, TX
Track & Field: March 1 at Marc Randle Classic I Bullard, TX
