DURANT, Okla. – After stepping out of conference for a mid-season exhibition contest, Southeastern will jump back into Great American Conference play when it hosts Arkansas Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 3 followed by Harding on Jan. 5 at 3 p.m., both in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm broke up the break with an exhibition contest against DI Texas-San Antonio and nearly pulled off the upset before ultimately falling 70-67 in San Antonio, Texas.
 
The game did not count against SE which comes into the weekend with a 7-2 record overall and a 3-2 record in GAC play.
 
Southeastern comes into the weekend third in the league in scoring at 82.0 ppg, led by a foursome of double-digit scorers.
 
That group is paced by 
Kevin Buckingham who is top-10 in the GAC in scoring with 17.3 ppg while shooting 61.1 percent from the floor.
 
He is followed by 
Kellen Manek with 14.4 ppg, while 
Jett Jobe is adding 13.8 ppg and 
Adam Dworsky is scoring an even 10.0 per outing.
 
As a team the Storm are shooting 46.6 percent overall, while dishing out 19.4 assists per game, with Dworsky dishing out 5.9 of those per game with Jobe right behind at 5.2 per outing.
 
Buckingham is nearly averaging a double-double, adding 9.8 rebounds per game as SE hold a 38.8-to-35.2 edge on the glass per game.
 
ATU comes into the contest on a six-game losing streak with a 2-8 overall record and a 0-4 mark in GAC play.
 
The Wonder Boys are putting up 78.8 ppg, led by RJ Glasper who is averaging 19.1 ppg on the year while three others are averaging in double-figures.
 
Glasper leads the club in assists with 3.0 per game, while Will Adler is pulling down a team-high 6.5 rpg.
 
HU hits the new year at 5-5 overall and 3-1 in GAC play having won three of its last five, but dropping its last matchup 69-57 on Dec. 31 at home against Christian Brothers.
 
JV Long leads a foursome of double-digit scorers with 12.8 ppg while the Bisons are putting up 76.5 ppg as a team.
 
Long is also dishing out a team-best 3.9 assists per game while also leading the squad in rebounding with 5.8 per game.
