SEARCY, Ark. – Late inning struggles proved costly as Southeastern dropped both ends of a double-header at Harding on Monday afternoon in Searcy, Ark.

The Savage Storm fell 3-2 in the opener before dropping a 4-1 decision in game two, dropping to 8-14 overall on the season and 6-6 in the Great American Conference.

SE collected seven hits in the opener, four of them doubles, but stranded 10 runners on the contest.

Mykaela Wallace collected two hits to lead the way, while Elexis Watson, Symphoni Shomo, Katie McCullar, and Ivy Amador each had a double.

Destiny Riddle and Wallace each drove in a run.

Emily Cudd got the start and tossed 4.0 innings while allowing a run on five hits.

Riddle took the loss after tossing 2.2 innings and allowing two runs on one hit with four walks before McCullar came on and faced one batter, walking her.

Harding took a 1-0 lead in the first and then neither team would find home plate again until a sixth-inning RBI double by Riddle to tie the game which was followed by an RBI single by Wallace to take a 2-1 lead midway through the sixth.

The Storm carried that lead into the bottom of the seventh, but HU would draw five walks, four of them with two outs, to steal a 3-2 win.

In the finale, McCullar and Wallace each picked up doubles while Shomo drove in the team's lone run.

McCullar picked up the loss after tossing 4.1 innings and allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits.

Riddle would toss 1.2 innings in relief, allowing a run on two hits.

The Bisons put up a run in the first, but added two in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead into the seventh.

Southeastern loaded the bases with no outs on a pair of walks and a Wallace double.

Shomo would bring home a run with a two-out single and the Storm was unable to add any more, falling 4-1.
