Baseball Drops Series Finale at ATU

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern stranded seven runners and suffered from three errors in a series-ending loss at Arkansas Tech on Saturday afternoon, 6-0, in Russellville, Ark.
 
The loss dips the Savage Storm to 8-9 overall on the season and 5-4 in Great American Conference play.
 
Drew Bolin, Caleb Dubler, Niko Piazza, Colton Buckner, and Luke Thomas each recorded a hit on the day for the Storm.
 
Bryce Deatherage got the start and tossed 5.1 innings before taking the loss after allowing five runs, three earned, on six hits with three strikeouts.
 
Logan Teske tossed 1.2 innings in relief and allowed a run on two hits before Kenneth Klier came on for the final inning and retired the side.
 
The Storm left runners in scoring position in the top of the first and would pay for it as ATU put up two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
 
The Wonder Boys would get a two-run double in the fifth to stretch their lead to 4-0 after five.
 
The Storm would strand two more, one in scoring position in the top of the sixth, and ATU would take on a run in the bottom half for a 5-0 lead and would add one more in the seventh for a 6-0 advantage which would hold to be the final.
