WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Southeastern swept through doubles play to take an early lead, but struggled in singles play against No. 17 Midwestern State, falling 5-2 on Friday in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 1-1 heading into the Great American Conference opener on March 4 against Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Ark.

Jason Roberts picked up the team's first doubles win, downing MSU's number two duo 6-1

Ondrej Nice and
Benjamin Finet followed up with a 6-4 win at the one position to secure the doubles point.

Juan Scoppetta and
Milos Vuckovic secured the sweep with a 7-5 victory at the three spot.

Nice was the only player to carry any momentum into singles play, cruising to a 6-3, 6-1 win at the three spot to close the gap to 3-3 after MSU rallied with singles wins at the four, one, and two positions.

However, The Mustangs would get a win at the five and another at the six to take the mnatch 5-2.
