DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis had its ups and downs in a four-match week, picking up wins over Southern Indiana and St. Mary's, but dropping contests to Southern Arkansas and St. Edward's.

The Savage Storm wrap the week at 3-3 overall and 0-1 in Great American Conference play heading into a March 15 matchup with Northwest Missouri State at 2 p.m. in Durant, Okla.

SE opened the week with its first GAC loss since 2017 when it fell 4-2 at SAU.

Benjamin Finet and
Ondrej Nice picked up a 6-4 win at one doubles, but the Storm fell at the two and three spots to drop the doubles point.

Juan Scoppetta would even the score with a 6-4, 7-6 win at one singles, but SE would fall back 3-1 with losses at two and three.

Finet would add on with a win at the four spot, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2, but the team would get tripped up at five to fall 4-2.

Southeastern bounced back a day later with a 4-0 victory over Southern Indiana in Magnolia, Ark.

Milos Vuckovic and Scoppetta picked up a 6-1 win at the three doubles spot and the duo of Finet and Nice picked up a 6-4 win at the one position to earn the Storm the doubles point.

Vuckovic would cruise to a 6-0, 6-1 win at the six position to move to 2-0, while Nice pushed the lead to 3-0 after tacking on a 6-2, 6-1 win at the number three position.

Sandro Lena would wrap up the 4-0 win with a 6-3, 6-2 win at the number two spot.

Against the Rattlers, the Storm found themselves in an early 1-0 hole after dropping the doubles point despite a 6-1 win by Finet and Nice at the one doubles spot.

Scoppetta followed up with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 win at the one position to even the score at 1-1, however STMU would pick up wins at two and three to go ahead 3-1.

SE would rally though as Finet picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at the four position, followed by a 6-3, 6-4 win by Vuckovic at the five to even the match at 3-3.

Jason Roberts would complete the 4-3 victory with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 come-from-behind win at the six position.

The Storm would close the week on a low note though with a 5-2 loss at St. Edward's.
Â
Roberts and Scoppetta picked up a 6-3 win at the three doubles position, but SE would drop the doubles point and fall behind 1-0.

Scoppetta would add a 7-5, 7-5 win at the one spot to even the score at 1-1.

Nice would tack on another win at the three position, 6-2, 7-6, but the Storm would suffer losses in the other four singles spots and fall 5-2.
