ADA, Okla. – Southeastern opened its midweek rivalry twinbill against East Central with a 6-2 win, but was unable to carry that momentum into game two, falling 6-2 in the nightcap in Ada, Okla., on Tuesday afternoon.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 11-21 overall on the season and -13 in Great American Conference play.

Elexis Watson and
Mykaela Wallace each homered in game one, with Wallace finishing the game with two RBI, while Watson,
Symphoni Shomo, and
Keeshia Thompson each drove in a run.

Shomo finished the contest with three of the team's 10 hits, while
Karsyn Brigance and Wallace added two hits apiece.

Katie McCullar got the start and tossed a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits over seven innings with a pair of strikeouts.

Brittany Chatellier scored when
Ivy Amador reached on an error and two batters later Shomo singled home Brigance to take a 2-0 lead.

Watson led off the third with a solo homer to push the lead to 3-0, before the Storm tacked on two more runs in the fourth, the first on a solo Wallace homer to lead off and the last on a Thompson sac fly that plated
Kamarie Wallace to go ahead 5-0.

The Tigers swiped two runs back in the fifth on a two-run home run to close to 5-2.

Mykaela Wallace RBI single in the top of the seventh would score Brigance and give SE an insurance run making the final 6-2.

In the nightcap, Shomo, Watson, Thompson, and
Kamarie Wallace each collected hits, while
Destiny Riddle and McCullar drove in a run each.

Emily Cudd got the start and tossed 4.0 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and taking the loss.

Riddle tossed two innings in relief and was tagged for two runs on two hits with one strikeout.

The Tigers jumped ahead with a run in the first and another in the second before Watson would score on a McCullar fielder's choice to cut the deficit to 2-1.

However, ECU would pick up two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to extend its lead to 4-1 and added two more in the fifth to go ahead 6-1.

SE would load the bases with one out in the top of the seventh and Riddle would drive in
Hope Deanda on a sac fly, but the Storm rally would end there in a 6-2 loss.
