WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Southeastern took its lumps on both ends of its Friday twinbill at Southwestern Oklahoma State, falling 6-3 in the series opener before seeing a five-run lead disappear over the final two innings of game two in a 7-6 loss.
Â
The losses drop the Savage Storm to 6-8 overall on the season and 0-5 in Great American Conference play with the series finale set for Saturday at noon.

Â
KC Bryan tossed 1.1 in relief and allowed a run on a hit.
Â
In the opener, SWOSU took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, but a Cassos RBI single in the top of the fourth would even the game at 1-1.
Â
The Bulldogs would strike next with a two-run homer to go ahead 3-1 after six innings.
Â
SWOSU would tack on two more in the seventh and another in the eighth to take a 6-1 lead after eight.
Â
The Storm would pick up a pair of runs in the top of the ninth, first when
Joyal Savage scored on an Eusay sac fly and then two batter later when Bruce scored on a
Jacoby Adkins RBI single to make the final 6-3.

In the nightcap,

Niko Piazza each added two.
Â
The Storm collected six extra-base hits, with doubles from Buckner,

Â
Jenks got the start on the hill and tossed 5.0 innings in a no decision, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with three strikeouts.
Â
Tyler McGrew would come on in relief and toss 1.1 innings, taking the loss after getting tagged for four runs on four hits with one K.
Â
Jason Porter and
Beau Swimmer faced a combined three hitters in the final inning without recording an out while allowing two hits.
Â
Ware put SE on the board with a solo homer in the top of the first.
Â
SWOSU would tie the game with a run in the second, but an RBI triple by Eusay, followed by an RBI single by Ware, and an RBI double by Buckner would put three runs on the board in the top of the third for a 4-1 lead.
Â
A Buckner RBI single in the fourth followed by Piazza's solo homer in the fifth would put the Storm in front 6-1.
Â
However, the Bulldogs would get three runs off three hits in the bottom of the sixth and follow it up with three more runs on five hits in the bottom of the seventh to swipe the come-from-behind win 7-6.
