DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern opened the day with a come-from-behind 10-9 win over Arkansas Tech to secure a series victory before closing out the weekend with a 14-2 loss in the finale on Saturday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 10-9 overall on the season and 3-6 in Great American Conference play.

SE pounded out 15 hits in game one, led by
Chris Eusay's 4-for-4 effort, while
Anthony Cassos added three hits.

Slayde Ortiz and
Joseph Ramirez each added two hits, while
Richard Ware,
Colton Buckner,
Niko Piazza, and
Davis Jenks each added one.
Â
Ortiz drove in three runs, while Buckner added two RBI. Piazza drove I one on a solo homer while Ramirez added one.

Jacob Bigham got the start and took a no decision after allowing four runs on six hits in three innings of work.

Logan Teske came on in relief and tossed 2.2 innings while allowing two runs on two hits with three strikeouts.

Beau Swimmer tossed the next 1.2 innings and allowed two runs on three hits.

KC Bryan finished the contest and earned the win after allowing a run on two hits in 1.2 innings of work.

A Buckner sac fly followed by a Piazza solo homer in the first would stake the Storm to the early 2-0 lead.
Â
It would not last long though as the Wonder Boys answered with a run in the second, three in the third and two more in the fourth to take a 6-2 lead.

SE cut into the deficit in the fifth, first on a Buckner RBI single and then when Buckner scored on a throwing error, closing the gap to 6-4.

The rally would pick back up in the bottom of the seventh as two runs would come home on an error after a Ramirez infield single, tying the game at 6-6.

The Wonder Boys would respond immediately with two runs in the top of the eighth to go back in front 8-6.
Â
That lead was short-lived as the Storm would get a three-run double by Ortiz followed by an RBI single by Ramirez to take a 10-8 lead after eight innings.

ATU would threaten with a run in the top of the ninth but would be held there in a 10-9 Storm win.
Â
The finale saw the Storm use six pitchers over a seven inning contest with the starter Jenks suffering the loss after allowing six runs, three earned, on five hits in 1.2 innings pitched.

Six different hitters each picked up a hit, with Ramirez and Bruce collecting the only RBI.
Â
ATU jumped out early to a 6-0 lead before Ramirez and Bruce would drive in runs back-to-back to close to 6-2.
Â
That would end the Storm scoring on the day as the Wonder Boys finished with eight runs over the final five innings to take the game 14-2.
