DURANT, Okla. –
Katie Webb dropped 19 points to power Southeastern to an 86-52 victory over Oklahoma Baptist and in the process moved into the number two spot on the Savage Storm career scoring list on Thursday night in Shawnee, Okla.
Â
Webb lifts her career scoring total to 1,461 points, passing Jessica Hocker's mark of 1,448 which had ranked second since the 2007-08 season. Webb now trails SE Hall of Famer Crystal Robinson's career total of 3,023 points.
Â
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 14-5 overall on the season and 11-4 in Great American Conference play while also snapping a three-game losing skid.
Â
"She has been fantastic for her five years here," said head coach
Darin Grover of Webb. "Not only a fantastic player, but a fantastic person. And then as far as being a student goes, everybody on campus knows who
Katie Webb is and she's going to go on and be a huge success in life, not because she's a good basketball player. I don't thin k there's any correlation there. I think she's going to be a huge success in life because of the things she's done to become a great basketball player."
Â
Webb's 19 points came on an 8-of-16 shooting effort with a pair of threes which paced four Storm players to reach double-figures.
Â
Briley Moon connected on four threes and finished with 16 points, while
Neely Noel came off the bench to drain five threes on six tries and finish with 15.
Â
Kamryn Cantwell rounded out the double-digit scoring with 13 on the strength of a trio of threes.

Tracy Johnson added five and
Jordan Benson four.
Â

Hailey Belvin pulled down five board each.
Â
A Webb three opened the game as the Storm jumped ahead 5-0 before an OBU 8-0 run left SE trailing 8-5 by the 6:04 mark of the first quarter.
Â
Webb would score nine of the next 12 points as the Storm reeled off a 12-2 run to regain control.
Â
In the midst of that run she would connect on a jumper with 4:03 to go in the quarter which would be the points to move her into second on the all-time scoring list at Southeastern.

Haiden Williams layup would put SE in front 39-20 with 2:43 to go in the half.
Â

Â
The Storm lead would crack 30 points on a pair of Oestreich free throws at the 6:04 mark of the third quarter.
