Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas – Southeastern drained 14 threes on the night but were unable to hold off a late UT-Arlington run in a 68-64 loss versus it Division I foe on Monday night in Arlington, Texas, an in exhibition tune up ahead of the regular season start.

That regular season start is now 11 days away as SE will take on Minnesota State-Moorhead at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 in Shawnee, Okla.

Adam Dworsky led the Savage Storm offense with 15 points on the strength of 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc while also dishing out a game-high seven assists.

Kellen Manek was next in line with 11 points while also knocking down a trio of threes, while
Ante Brzovic finished with seven, and
Bobby Johnson and
Kyle Leslie each added six.

In all, 10 Southeastern players scored on the night.

Brzovic led all players on the glass with 11 rebounds, while Jett Strernberger added eight.

Dworsky's seven assists led all player, while Manek added six and SE finished with 20 on the night.

UTA opened the game with a three and Dworsky answered with a three of his own out of the gate, but an 8-3 Mavs run would leave the Storm in an 11-6 hole by the 15:58 mark of the half.

Southeastern would pick up the pace with an 11-4 run capped by a pair of Sternberger free throws for a 17-15 lead.

UTA would answer, knotting the game at 17-17, but a Manek three would kick off a 10-2 run and stake the Storm to a 27-19 lead with 6:37 to play in the half.

The Mavs would respond with eight-straight points, once again knotting the contest up, this time at 27-27 with 3:48 remaining in the first frame.

SE would score the next points on an
Enzo Silveira bucket, but UTA would score seven of the final 11 points of the half and leave the Storm trailing 34-31 at the half.

UTA would connect on a pair of free throws to open second half scoring, but back-to-back-to-back threes from Dworsky, Sternberger, and Manek would spear the Storm back out to a 40-36 lead by the 17:13 mark.

The teams would continue to trade runs however as the Mavs would reel off eight-straight to go in front 44-40 with 13:54 remaining.

A Johnson three would answer and SE would use an 8-1 run with back-to-back buckets from Dworsky, a three and a layup, to regain the lead at 48-45 with 11:55 to play.

The teams would trade buckets over the next three minutes, with
Kyle Leslie hitting a pair of threes with Manek adding another one as the Storm would edge out in front by a 57-53 margin and would still hold a four-point edge at 62-58 following a
Taylor Cox three with 5:14 to play.

UTA would use an 8-0 run to take the lead at 66-62 with 1:54 remaining.

A Weeks jumper with 1:45 to play would close the gap to 66-64, but a pair of UTA free throws with seven seconds to play would put the Mavs up 68-64 which would be the final score.
