DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to open Great American Conference Tournament play on Monday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm come into the tournament as the No. 4 seed with a 7-10 record in GAC Western Division play and will be hosting a conference tournament game for the First Time in Bloomer Sullivan Arena. The last time SE hosted a postseason game was Feb. 27, 2007 in the opening round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament against Texas A&M-Kingsville, a game the Storm won 88-72.
 
Southeastern will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid, but will be facing the last team it beat in the last place it beat them.
 
The Storm downed SWOSU 84-82 in overtime last time they faced off in Bloomer Sullivan Arena back on Feb. 20.
 
The teams are 2-2 against one another on the season, while in those matchup the Storm have four players averaging in double-figures and are putting up 75.3 ppg as a team.
 
Kellen Manek leads the way with 18.0 ppg but has played in only two of the four matchups.
 
Bobby Johnson is putting up 14.0 per game, while 
Adam Dworsky is adding 12.8 and Vadim CLanet is chipping in 11.8.
 
Manek also leads the way in those matchup on the glass with 7.5 rebounds per game, while Dworsky is hauling in 7.3 per outing.
 
Dworsky is also dishing out 5.5 assists per game.
 
The Bulldogs come into the contest with a matching 7-10 record overall on the season and are led by Damion Thornton who is averaging 15.3 ppg in games against SE, leading a group of four double-digit scorers.
 
He also leads the way in rebounding across those four games with 8.3 rpg, while Kamden Gipson has dished out a team-best 3.5 assists per contest.
 
The winner of Monday night's contest will advance to the quarter finals where they will travel to Monticello, Ark., to face Arkansas-Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on March 3.
