Box Score 1 ARLINGTON, Texas – Southeastern men's tennis bounced back from a 7-0 morning loss to Division I Texas-Arlington to score a big 4-3 victory over Texas-Tyler to end the day in Arlington, Texas Wednesday.
 
The split moves the Savage Storm to 4-5 overall on the year heading into a March 13 home matchup at Noon against Cameron for Alumni, Faculty, and Staff Day at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
 
SE took control of the UTT match early by taking the doubles point.
 
The duo of 
Juan Scoppetta and 
Manuel Pilotto picked up a 6-4 win at two doubles, while 
Guilherme Dos Santos and 
Thabo Ncube followed suit with a point-clinching 6-3 win at number three.
 
Scoppetta stretched the Storm advantage with a 6-4, 6-2 win at one singles and Dos Santos survived a tough first set to pick up a 7-6, 6-1 win at number two, taking the lead to 3-0.
 
The Patriots would rally with wins at three, four, and five, knotting the score at 3-3.
 
Ncube would shut the door on a comeback however, taking number six singles 7-5, 6-3 to clinch the 4-3 win for SE.
 
Against UTA, the Storm fell behind with losses at two and three doubles to trail 1-0.
 
The Mavericks would follow with wins across all six singles matches, despite SE players forcing seventh games in three different matches, but ultimately falling 7-0.
