Storm Drops Both Ends of Sunday Twinbill

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern rallied from a five-run deficit in game one to force extra innings, but would come out on the short end of a 9-7 final against Henderson State before dropping the series finale 16-1 on Sunday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 14-19 overall on the season and 10-17 in Great American Conference play.

In game one, Reid Rice put together a 3-for-5 outing with a pair of home runs on his way to five RBI with a pair of runs scored.

Seth Morrow and Slayde Ortiz each added two hits, with one of Morrow's leaving the yard.

Southeastern bounced back in the bottom of the seventh as Hayden Evan drew a one-out walk and scored on Rice's first homer of the afternoon.

Blake McQuain would draw a two-out, pinch-hit walk and come home a batter later when Morrow blasted a ball over the right-field wall to close the gap to 5-4.
