DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern had a trio of hitters with seven kills each but it was unable to power past rival East Central on Tuesday night in a 3-0 loss in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 3-20 on the year overall and 1-11 in Great American Conference play.

MIchera Moffett,
Avynn La Rose, and
Jadyn James each tallied seven kills to lead the SE offense, while
Jessica Hardin added five in the effort.

McKenzie Turkoly led the setting duo with 17 assists while
Ruthie Forson posted six but added three kills.

Peyton Kriegel led the Storm defense with 11 digs, while Hardin added eight and James chipped in seven.

Moffett and James added five blocks each at the net, while La Rose turned in a pair.

SE rallied in set one, cutting a six point deficit in down to two points at 19-17 before the Tigers would take six of the final nine points to take the set 25-20.

In set two ECU scored the first five points and would pull away en route to 25-13 win in the set to take a 2-0 lead.

The Tigers would again take an early lead but the Storm would tie the set at 8-8 and would follow with three ties and three lead changes, ultimately taking a 13-10 lead. ECU would rally and retake the lead with a 6-1 run and pull away to take the third set 25-20.
