DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's Student Athlete Advisory Committee will once again be hosting a Haunted Trail this Halloween with a Trunk or Treat set to begin at 7 p.m. with the Haunted Trail running from 7:30 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. at the Crooked Smile Trail.
Â
Last Halloween, SE student-athletes raised over $800 dollars in donations and garnered 345 non-perishable food item donations for the Southeastern Food Shelf and Hands of Hope.
Â
This year the group is looking to collect donations for area animal rescues such as Durant Animal Rescue Alliance, Reedy's Animal Rescue, and Texoma Paw patrol. Items these organizations are in need of include cheap/used blankets, towels, puppy pads, kitty litter, cat and dog food, toys, and bleach.
Â
The trail is for all ages with athletes displaying specific colors to determine the level of scare, while those who do not want to participate in the trail can visit the trunk or treat and play Halloween themed games.
