BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern opened play at the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville, Ark., in a commanding fashion with a pair of run-rule victories, first downing Northeastern State 8-0 in five innings before exploding for an 11-1 win in five innings over Northwest Missouri State.

The wins bring the Savage Storm season record to 4-4 on the season heading into an 11 a.m. matchup with Emporia State on Saturday morning followed by a 1 p.m. meeting with Wayne State.

In the day's finale, SE saw
Kamarie Wallace and
Kady Fryrear each connect on grand slams in the first inning as the Savage Storm sent 16 hitters to the plate to open the game.

Cheyenne Mahy would put SE on the board by driving in
Kamryn Rackley and following a Fryrear single Wallace would connect on the first grand slam of the inning to take a 5-0 lead.

Rackley would tack on a two-run single on her second at bat of the inning, stretching the lead to 7-0.

The Storm would load up the bases for Fryrear who hammered the second grand slam of the inning to take an 11-1 lead.

The Bearcats would get a solo homer to lead off the second inning and that would eb all the scoring for NWMSU.

Mahy got the start and picked up the win after allowing a run on two hits with one strikeout in 3.0 inning of work.

Micayla Galloway would come on and toss the final two innings, allowing two hits and no runs.

Fryrear finished the game 3-for-3 with four RBI, while Rackley added a pair of hits.

Wallace finished with four RBI, while Rackley plated two and Mahy added one.

Mahy and
Bailey Beard each collected a pair of hits in the opener versus NSU, while seven other hitters added one.

Rackley, Mahy, and Wallace each drove in two runs, while
Kyia Monahwee and
Gracie Ore drove in one apiece.

Amberlyn Walsworth scattered seven hits across 4.0 innings without allowing a run while striking out five to earn the win.

Mahy tossed one perfect inning with a K in relief.

SE jumped out in front quick with Mahy doubling home Streetman to put the Storm on the board, and two batters later Wallace would connect on a two-run home run for a 3-0 lead.

A Rackley double would bring in Beard in the top of the second to move the advantage to 4-0.

Mahy lead off the third with a solo homer, with Monahwee, Ore, and Rackley each driving in a run in the inning to stretch the lead to 8-0 which would hold of as the final.
