BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern closed out its weather-adjusted weekend with a sweep of three-straight games, downing William Jewell 3-1, followed by a 3-2 win over Maryville and a 3-2 win over Emporia State on Sunday afternoon at the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville, Ark.

The win stretches the Savage Storm winning streak to five-games, improving the overall record to 7-4 on the year.

In the opener,
Bailey Beard collected a pair of hits, while
Kamryn Rackley,
Cheyenne Mahy,
Kyia Monahwee, and
Marilyn Alvarado each added one.
Â
Peyton Streetman, Mahy, and
Kady Fryrear each had an RBI.
Â
Mahy also got the start in the circle and picked up the win after tossing 6.0 innings and allowing a run on five hits with six strikeouts.

Amberlyn Walsworth came on in relief to pick up her first save of the season, allowing a hit and striking out one in an inning or work.

WJC got on the board first with an RBI single in the top of the third inning.

The Storm would finally break through in the fifth inning as Streetman drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game, followed by a Mahy RBI single and a Fryrear squeeze bunt to stretch the lead to 3-1 which would hold up as the final tally.

Versus Maryville, Mahy and
Kamarie Wallace collected two hits each, while Monahwee added one.

Mahy,
Alexis Lambert, and
Gracie Ore each drove in a run.

Walsworth would get the start and toss a complete game, allowing two unearned runs on four hits over seven innings while striking out five.

Rackley would open the game with a walk and steal both second and third before Mahy brought her home with a single.

MU would get a pair of runs in bottom of the third to take a 2-1 lead.

Ore would tie the game with a sac fly to plate Monahwee in the fifth and the Storm would take the lead in the top of the seventh when Wallace scored on a Lambert squeeze bunt, setting the final of 3-2.

In the third and final game of the day, Ore and Monahwee would each collect a pair of hits, while Ore, Mahy, and Monahwee each drove in a run.

Micayla Galloway got the start and tossed an inning, allowing two runs on four hits before handing over to Mahy who tossed 4.0 innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Walsworth would come on to toss the final two innings, allowing a hit while striking out one to earn the win.

ESU jumped out in front with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning.

Mahy would bring home Rackley on a sac fly to cut the deficit in half in the third inning.

An Ore double in the fifth would plate Rackley again to knot the game at 2-2.

Monahwee would close out the rally in the bottom of the sixth with a solo homer to make the final score 3-2.
