SE Drops Pair of Games at UCO

EDMOND, Okla. – Alexis Lambert collected three hits on the day, but the Southeastern offense found runs hard to come by in a pair of losses at No. 8 Central Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon in Edmond, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm dropped game one 8-0 and fell 9-1 in game two to see their record on the season fall to 17-13.
 
Peyton Streetman and Alexis Lambert each collected a hit for the Storm.
 
Amberlyn Walsworth got the start and tossed all four innings, allowing eight runs, six of them earned, while allowing nine hits and striking out three.
 
UCO got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first inning on a hang up play and would add a solo homer in the second to take a 2-0 lead.
 
The Bronchos would put up five runs in the third and add another in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead which would be the final.
 
In game two, Lambert added two more hits, while Kady Fryrear and Lauren White each added one hit.
 
Cheyenne Mahy would get the start and tossed four innings and allowed nine runs on 11 hits with five strikeouts.
 
Fryrear put SE on the board in the top of the first with an RBI double, driving in Lambert.
 
However, UCO answered in the bottom half with a pair of two-run homers, taking a 4-1 lead.
 
That expended to 8-1 with two runs each in the third and fourth, and would tack on a final run in the fifth to make the final 9-1.
